What makes Viz different

Students are matched with a carefully vetted tutor whose experience and teaching approach aligns with their needs. Our flexible model offers single, ongoing, or on-demand sessions, allowing families to access support when it matters most. With a collaborative whiteboard, video, and interactive tools, students receive clear instruction and meaningful practice in a focused learning space.

What Students Do and Experience

Each session is tailored to the learner. Some students come in wanting homework help or support with a challenging unit, while others focus on enrichment, longer-term skill building, or preparing for tests and exams. Tutors use a shared online space with video, chat, and an interactive whiteboard to teach, model strategies, guide practice, and check understanding. The experience can shift from student-led problem solving to tutor-guided mini-lessons depending on what best supports the learner that day.

A Typical Session

A session often begins with a quick check-in to understand where the student is struggling or what they want to work on. From there, the tutor introduces concepts, breaks down steps, provides examples, and guides students through practice questions. When needed, a session may shift toward reviewing assignments, preparing for upcoming tests, or previewing new material to build confidence before it appears in class. The pace is always responsive to the student.

What Students Gain

Students build stronger foundational skills, better study habits, and a clearer understanding of their coursework. With consistent support, they develop confidence, independence, and a more positive relationship with learning. Families appreciate that progress feels both visible and meaningful.

Viz is committed to helping every student feel supported, capable, and proud of their growth.
