This program is designed to build the following character traits:

Independence: In this first Early Childhood Music class without parents required to sit in, children start to learn piano with their peers and a teacher.
Creativity: Children are encouraged to grow and grow confident in making music together and on the piano, exercising their own creativity and growing curious about the wonderful world of music.

Kindergarten Piano classes for children ages 4-5 years old build upon everything they've learned so far in life and music, and give them the tools they need to bridge the gap to private lessons.

They're a natural next step after Toddler & Preschool Music Classes at WSM, but are not a pre-requisite.

Little ones are curious by nature, ready to learn about the world through music that already lives in them!

Main Goal: Provide the confidence and freedom to grow and make music on the piano and also by clapping, tapping, dancing and singing in order to enrich their own creative development as a meaningful part of their cognitive, social-emotional, physical, communication and sensory musical play exploration skills to stimulate their brain, their body, and their heart.

What you'll experience in the class:

Moving to the music
Introduction to note reading and musical literacy
Guided piano playing
Rhythm clapping games and activities
Learning hand posture, piano fingering and vocabulary
Encourage the literacy and language pillar through singing and learning the language of music
Learn and use musical concepts as: piano-forte, fast-slow, short-long
Neural connection stimulation of the brain through sound, instruments, vocal and rhythm activities
