X-STEM Engineering Design/ Entrepreneurship Camp

The X-STEM Engineering Design program is an extracurricular program for students who are interested in future careers in science, technology and engineering. We offer project-based learning environment to help student develop the engineering mindset, to be proficient with applying engineering design principle to real life projects, and to develop the quality of attention to details and craftmanship.

Day 1: Introduction to Engineering Design 

Learn the procedures of Engineering Design Methods and see how it helps deliver value-added engineering solutions in the real world.

Day 2-3: Spaghetti Bridge

Bridges have been connecting human civilization throughout history. Explore the techniques of bridge building with real engineers and innovate to create your best bridge and compete among your peers.

Day 4-5: Automaton

Automaton refers to control mechanisms designed to automatically follow a sequence of operations. Explore the concept of automaton, and work as a team to build a simple machine that can self perform an engineering task.
