This camp is designed to build the following character traits:

Self-regulation: Campers unleash creativity through building shelters, designing survival tools, and crafting nature-inspired projects. Every activity encourages problem-solving, ingenuity, and thinking like a true wilderness explorer!
Resilience: Campers explore the wonders of the outdoors through navigation challenges, nature discovery games, and hands-on experiments. Each activity sparks curiosity, encourages risk-taking, and inspires a love of learning while strengthening body and mind!

At GlenOak Academy Summer Camp, we provide a traditional summer camp experience that's fun, engaging, and full of hands-on learning! Each week, our camp is built around a unique theme, giving campers the opportunity to dive into exciting activities that spark their curiosity and creativity.

What makes our camp special?
GlenOak Academy Summer Camp combines fun learning opportunities with interactive and age-appropriate activities that inspire growth and exploration. Campers experience a balance of academics (led by certified teachers), arts, and recreational physical activity while making memories and friendships that last a lifetime. Our camp is designed to foster learning in a holistic and exciting way.

What will your child experience?
This week, campers will venture deep into the wilderness, tackling outdoor challenges and exploring the natural world. Each day brings hands-on activities, obstacle courses, and survival-inspired games that build resilience, confidence, and physical skills. By the end of the week, campers will leave empowered, strong, and ready to face any challenge!

A typical day at camp:
Each morning begins with a team-building challenge or energizing game to get campers excited for the day ahead. Campers then work in smaller, age-based groups for themed lessons and activities, practicing Language, Math, and Science skills aligned with the Ontario Curriculum. Art projects and games will help them strengthen their creativity and teamwork skills, while physical activities like the obstacle course will encourage them to stay active.

Weekly highlights also include a unique on-site field trip that enhance the week's theme, giving campers the chance to channel their inner superheroes in fun, new ways.

Friday Fun:
We’ll close Into the Wilderness Week with an exciting Nature Adventure Day! Campers will take part in a final outdoor-themed challenge, playing games, observing wildlife, and putting their survival and teamwork skills to the test. After the adventure, everyone will enjoy a pizza lunch, celebrating this week's outdoor accomplishments.
