This camp is designed to build the following character traits:

  • Creativity: Immerse in songwriting creativity through hands-on exercises, blending writing, music fundamentals, and personalized feedback. With instruments and recording, participants explore lyrics, chords, and melody, witnessing their creations come to life, fostering artistic expression and accomplishment.
  • Courage: This camp instills courage by encouraging participants to face creative challenges in songwriting. Through hands-on exercises, personalized feedback, and the thrill of recording, students overcome fears, embrace vulnerability, and witness their growth—nurturing courageous artistic expression.

Do you love music and songs? Curious about how to write a song, or want feedback on songs you’ve already written? This camp is for you! Through creative writing exercises, campers will write their own songs, and leave camp with a recording of their work! Gain knowledge of the fundamentals of music, such as chords and progressions, rhythm and form, and melody and harmony as you learn the process of writing a song, lyrics, and producing. Are you also a musician? Bring your instrument to incorporate into this fun musical camp!
