Why attend a BC camp?

Whether your child is a local Vancouverite or BC bred, or whether they’re visiting from out of province or out of the country, a camp in BC will allow your son or daughter the same opportunity to immerse themselves in an exciting adventure with wilderness trips, indoor and outdoor education programs, technology, science, arts, music and sports.

Your child will get to experience and learn about their surrounding area through a broad range of different activities within a camp or at specialty camps such as guitar or debate camp.

What can you expect a BC camp to cost?

Depending on the type of camp and whether it’s day or overnight, the cost can range anywhere from $200-$600+ per week or by day. It’s best to contact the camps of your choice to find out what’s included in the cost, such as meals or transportation, or what’s not such as spending money for a snack shack.

Find the right BC camp for your child

If you’re looking for some guidance on how to begin your search for a camp in BC, create a list of what your child and your family is most interested in with a camp experience. Does the location matter? What types of programs or activities would your child enjoy the most? Would they like a single-sex or co-ed camp? Do they want to develop a particular interest or passion further? Decide what’s most important with your child and your family and research your options from there.
