Fishing Camps

Fishing camps for kids teach the specifics about fly-fishing and sport fishing techniques. Get your young fisherman or woman to a kids fishing camp! Learn more from each camp listed below.

Fishing camps provide a great way to learn about the basics of fishing as well as advanced fishing techniques, conservation, some aspects of marine biology, tying flies, jigs and more. Simulated fishing tournaments and water games are also available. Fly fishing, fly casting, fly tying, knots, basic entomology, wading techniques and other outdoor and fly fishing related skills may also be taught at these camps. A variety of fresh and salt water adventures and possibly even encounters with various water creatures make kids fishing camps a great recreational mode. Fishing gear may or may not be provided to campers. Accommodation options may be rustic cottages or luxurious shoreline resorts.

Fishing camps offer delicious meals, recreational events and games to add to the thrill. The campers have access to the abundant lakes and rivers to practice fishing. They also have an opportunity to cook and eat their catch. Fishing camps also offer other recreational options like barbeque nights, pizza dinners and parties. Tents, cottages, walks, treks and exploring bird life add to the charm of these outdoor camps. In fact, the possibilities for world-class fishing are endless in many parts of the world.

Conserving ocean and water habitats is essential for future recreation and livelihoods associated with fishing. Fishing camps are educational and fun and there is a very good ratio of counselors to campers. After a fishing or wildlife camp, most children are able to comprehend the important concept of nature conservation.
