Improve your theatre arts skills at summer camp for acting!

Drama camps let your young thespian explore his or her acting aspirations. Perhaps an 'acting camp' will help them even be 'discovered.' One thing is for certain: your child will love summer camp, if acting and performing is involved.

A drama camp will also teach children skills in movement and improvisation as well as some singing and dancing. And in addition, they are likely to receive some technical instruction in para-theatrical activities like lighting, stage managing, etc.

Of the summer camps listed below, there are a number that specialize in acting training and are rightly called theatre arts camps. In some cases, these can even entail working with professional actors of the stage and screen. A typical drama camp will offer a live stage performance as the culmination of time spent at the camp. (Some camps here may only offer drama as one activity among others). Click on the camp's listing to learn more about what they offer.

At a drama camp, not only will your child receive close instruction in acting and stage blocking, etc., but he or she is sure to learn more about him or herself, develop a fuller awareness of emotions and learn more about sympathising with others.
