  Neighbour Note is unlike any other music school in Canada. It was created after the founder, John Force, became overly frustrated by some of the other music schools’ lack of credibility. Neighbour Note employs highly educated Canadian teachers and real-life rock stars, Juno-award winning and Juno-nominated musicians. Here are some success stories of Neighbour Note teachers:

  Dr. Pete Johnston and Dr. Angela Schwarzkopf both won Juno Awards. Elizabeth Rodriquez was nominated for a Juno Award. Dr. Nina Soyfer was awarded the RCM Teacher of Distinction Award in 2019 for best piano teacher in Ontario.

  Dr. Kristin Force and Dr. Pete Johnston are currently contract faculty members at TMU (Toronto Metropolitan University) and were partly responsible for establishing the minor degree in music at TMU. Oscar Rangel and Robin Howe are part of the epic heavy metal band Operus who are signed with the Sony Music label.

  All music teachers are not created equal. Education matters. Experience matters.
