High school is a particularly important time to send your child to Christian school. Your son or daughter will have many opportunities to thoughtfully reflect on his or her religious beliefs in a supportive, open environment. Your child's teenage years are the time he or she is most likely to ask a multitude of questions best answered by Bible-based Christian instruction. Why am I here? Why should I believe in God? Why am I a Christian?
High school students think about the world with a more critical eye. An education that recognizes the importance of your child’s spiritual needs is critical. A Christian high school education does not teach students that they have to be Christian. It explains why they should follow Jesus' teachings and how to do so.
Before choosing a Christian high school, make sure that it has appropriate provincial accreditation. Most importantly, a high school must provide courses that will count towards your child’s diploma. You could also speak to your province’s Ministry of Education to find out about a given school's reputation.

In many provinces, sending your son or daughter to a Christian school makes you eligible for a tax deductions. Paying tuition often counts as a charitable donation. Christian schools are also known to be very generous in the scholarships and financial aid they will offer you.
Christian schools often have more intensive curricula than do other secondary schools. Students at Christian high schools must learn both provincially mandated subjects (like math, science, English and French) in combination with a separate religious education. Many alumni of religious high schools point out that this dual-education prepared them really well for the heavy workload of university or post-secondary education.
Learning about Christianity is also challenging in itself. Some parents of students at Christian schools credit their child’s increased maturity and self-discipline with these difficult lessons. Secondary school is an ideal time to bolster a child's faith.
