There is a wide range of private Christian schools in Ontario, covering several Christian religions. These include Protestantism, Catholicism, Baptism, and Unitarianism.
Each school has its own unique approach and focus. All these schools, though, have a demanding secular and religious curriculum. To learn more about this, read our main Christian school guide.
Many Christian schools in Ontario are supported and accredited by a Christian organization. The main bodies supporting Christian schools are the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI), Christian Schools International (CSI), and the Ontario Alliance of Christian Schools (OACS).
Private Christian schools provide students with a strong secular and religious education. They also offer families a supportive and caring community.
In terms of religious studies, students typically receive a classical Christian education. Student learn about the Christian faith. They also learn about the different Christian religions (the different sects of Christianity).
A Christian education also involves plenty of bible study. Students closely read the Christian bible. They also interpret and discuss it with teachers and classmates.
Most Christian schools focus quite a bit on Christian theology. Students learn about different Christian doctrines, values, and beliefs.
In a Catholic school, for instance, students learn about the theology of the body and communion. They may also learn about the seven holy sacraments of Catholicism.
In many private Christian schools, students go to chapel on a regular basis. Here, they'll often say prayers and engage in Christian worship.
Different schools have different policies about religious observance. So, make sure you speak to schools directly to learn more about their policies.
There are many great private Christian schools in Ontario. This include schools in Toronto, Brampton, and Mississauga.
Ontario is located in southeastern Canada. It's the most populated province in Canada. It's also home to Toronto, Ottawa, Hamilton, London, and several other prominent Canadian cities.
Ontario is a beautiful province, which is separated into distinct geographical regions. These include the Canadian Shield, Hudson Bay Lowlands, and southern and northern Ontario.
