Bowmanville Zoo Eco Adventure Camp still growing and evolving.

The Bowmanville Zoo, established in 1919, is the oldest privately run zoo in Canada.  Situated on 55 acres bisected by Soper Creek, it is home to over 300 animals from around the world.  The Eco Adventure Summer Day Camp continues to grow and evolve this year with the introduction of "Animal Buddies", an inclusive program which welcomes  campers with ASD.  A new quiet zone and washroom/changeroom facility combined with special training for the counsellors and keepers ensure that all campers are well supported.  Together, campers will share the fun; enjoying crafts and games, interacting with animals and being introduced to concepts like ecosystems, conservation, biodiversity and global heritage through hands-on experience.
