In 2016 we had an incredible 70th season, with warm sunny days and plenty of laughs it was an honour to be up on the sunny shores of Lake Baptiste. 20 years earlier, in 1996 Bruno Morawetz or Okimau as he was known at camp, described Ponacka; "Ponacka is a holy place. Every rock and tree, every breeze and drizzle, every warm handshake and hug, every memory of silent reverence, of humour, of love and of fun is carried with us in the depth of our being, fortifying us during times when life is less kind than it was in our Ponacka days. May Anne and Don's days be long and blessed so that they too may have the privilege of lighting many, many candles that illuminate those precious young faces."
We enjoyed the 70th and 71st summers at Ponacka immensely and look forward to summer 2018 when new and old Ponackians gather together on Lake Baptiste to spend another summer of adventure and fun.
