American School of Wrocław - is an international school operating since 2011, which teaches and brings up about 200 children annually from 20 countries from the first year of life to the completion of primary school. There is a kindergarten at the school, which accepts only 6-month-old children, providing them with home care and comfortable conditions. For children of pre-school and school age, ASW offers education in accordance with the Polish core curriculum and requirements for American schools, in accordance with the American Core Knowledge, Core Knowledge Sequence and Common Core State Standards. On their basis, already 3-year-olds have daily language and mathematics lessons, social and emotional development, history and geography, nature, art and music, and 5-year-old children learn to read and write, both in Polish and English. Years of school education means further learning Polish and English (Polish children learn their native language in the normal range, and foreigners learn a foreign language), mathematics, computer science, nature, knowledge about the world, art, music, and physical education. In language education, the school uses programs (CKLA - classes 1-3, and Escalate - classes 4-8), which combine language learning with developing knowledge in the field of literature, science, sociology and art, while in teaching other subjects programs using modern technologies and IT solutions, such as: GO Math !, which helps in developing basic math skills; Houghton Mifflin Social Studies, developing social competences and the ability to think critically and ScienceFusion, providing students with interactive, digital learning support. Thanks to them, students have access to digital lessons, a virtual laboratory, numerous films as well as animations and simulations, allowing to supplement and consolidate the content they learn. An important element of education are songs, manual works and games that are supported during lessons, which support the development of creativity in children and provide them with movement during study. The school organizes monthly trips.
