Many of these schools are international. They can thus be a great fit for kids from Canada, the United States, Britain, France, and elsewhere. There are also domestic Łódź schools, though. Both international and domestic schools in Łódź normally admit both foreign students and Polish residents.
Some of these follow an American school curriculum. Others follow the English or British national curriculum.

Types of Łódź schools
There are many different types of private schools in Łódź, Poland. These schools offer a wide range of programs which can be highly effective for international and domestic students. Below, we outline some of the main types of schools in Łódź.
International schools: These schools are geared toward students from other countries, but normally admit local residents from Łódź. Some also admit students from other cities in Poland, including Warsaw, Kraków, Poznán, and Wrocław. International schools in Łódź often have English-language instruction and an international curriculum (such as the IB).
Social schools: These are non-public schools created by social organizations or associations. Parents are heavily involved in social schools in Łódź, working with students and teachers. These schools make it a major goal to build the social skills and competencies of students.
Special needs schools: These schools offer support for students with special needs, including learning, developmental, and physical disabilities. Some of these schools are exclusively devoted to special needs students. Others provide support for special needs students through a special education class or through in-class adaptations.
Montessori schools: There are many Montessori schools and preschools in Łódź and across Poland (especially in Warsaw). These schools are student-centred and closely follow the Montessori philosophy of education. They offer lots of self-directed learning, concrete learning, child-to-child teaching, and group work. They also focus on the development of social and practical skills and educate students in morals (or values).
Boarding schools: These schools offer a strong education inside and outside of the classroom. Since they offer room and board, they tend to be more expensive than regular day schools. Many boarding schools in Poland also offer day programs as well. They thus often have a nice mix of international and foreign students, something that can broaden the horizons of their students.
